The website is hosted by Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Ave #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA. When you open a page, Vercel processes the technically necessary data your browser sends: IP address, date and time, the address requested, the page visited before, browser type and operating system.

This processing is required to deliver the website and keep it secure. The legal basis is our legitimate interest under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Log data is kept only briefly and is not combined with other data.

Data may be transferred to the USA in the process. Vercel is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework; the European Commission's standard contractual clauses apply in addition.

To understand which pages are read, we use Vercel Web Analytics. The service works without cookies and stores nothing on your device. It records the page viewed, the referring page, country, device type, browser and operating system.

Visitors are told apart only within a single day by an anonymised value calculated from the request data, which is then discarded. Your IP address is not stored, and you are not recognised across days or across websites.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in privacy-friendly statistics under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

If you contact us by email or phone, we process your details in order to answer your enquiry (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR). We delete the data once it is no longer needed and no statutory retention periods apply. Our mailbox is operated by Google (Gmail).

Our pages contain links to external services, for example Booking.com, lanciano.de and Wikimedia Commons. Data is transferred to the respective provider only when you click such a link. Their own privacy policies apply to any processing there.
